The session could focus on how coaches can develop peak performance through balancing challenge and support in the coaching relationship. The session will review the use of relational aspects in coaching and how coaches can bring a higher level of challenge to their coaching to facilitate critical reflection and enhance the motivation for change of their clients.

Jonathan is professor of psychology at University of Evora and director of Henley Centre for Coaching, Henley Business School, he holds five degrees and is a chartered psychologist. Prior to moving to academia he worked as a business consultant with PWC and IBM, and was managing director of Embrion. He has written widely with over thirty books, one hundred scientific papers and multiple conferences presentations around the world. His most popular books 'Excellence in Coaching' and 'Top Business Psychology Models' have been translated into a dozen languages. His work has been recognised through a series of awards from bodies including the Association for Coaching, British Psychological Society and Association of Business Psychologists.
